From what I've been able to play in 4 months of owning the player, which is very little, the sound is pretty good. My problem is that I have about 14000 audio files, most of them .mp3, and I can't get the player to recognize them. Little guidance. I have performed factory reset many times and copied files to the micro SD card. I have tried with files in different folders and with all in the same folder. The database scan doesn't copy most songs no matter how I organize them. And let's not talk about playlists, which I also spent many hours on. Adding 14,000 songs one after another is impractical, and creating a playlist folder and trying to copy externally created .m4u files also proved useless. I couldn't get it to work. All files come with good metadata. It seems that the player automatically sorts albums based on their metadata. I have a feeling it's probably a pretty decent player, but without good instructions it's mostly useless to me. I'm a bit savvy with tech and gadgets, so I'm usually not out of my league for customizing electronics. I bought this player because my old iPod classic won't last forever. It's crazy that a player with so many features has so few instructions.
