I needed something at the last minute for my holiday class performance and this dress was perfect. It's not too chic, but not too casual either. You can pull it up or down according to your need. The top is similar to a regular cotton shirt with some stretch. The lower part is made of polyester with a lace overlay. The bow is beautiful, sweet. She received many compliments. My daughter is 2.5 and usually wears a 4 and 5T (she is very tall). I bought her a size 4-5 and she fits perfectly. The dress went down, maybe to mid-calf. I just washed the dress and it has held up beautifully. I was pleasantly surprised that the quality is so good considering the price.
