Well the colored vinyl I bought is wonderful! (Matte black metallic). If you're looking for a black base with some shine I wouldn't necessarily go for it, I would describe it more as a dark gray with shine. Needless to say, that's a great color! I have no experience with vinyl wrap but I decided to give it a try because the interior of my car had lost its color over time and for some reason had become very stained. I've had it long enough, it definitely has signs of wear that just needed fixing. As an inexperienced buyer and first time packer (if you will), I think this vinyl is good quality for the price. Can't tell if it was easier to handle and work with than other vinyls... but I did and it doesn't look too shabby. In my opinion, it's definitely not an easy task, regardless of the quality of vinyl used. Professionals certainly have talent and a lot of patience! If you have any dents or deep scratches on the surface of your package it will be visible as it was before the vinyl was applied. A heat gun is a must. I've found that I should stretch the vinyl as tightly as possible over the piece to be wrapped, rather than resorting directly to the heat gun, and use it as little as possible (try to use it when the tension just isn't doing the full job performs). and unless you're using some tack for extra adhesion, be sure to use a heat gun after you've applied all the edges.) I wrapped where I could, just like that when I put the finished pieces in place and place. It will not pull up any side if it comes into contact with the edge of the press when the product is fed back. I don't have many criticisms and overall I'm happy with my purchase and the product. I would recommend it to you like me and you need the best quality at the best price. I actually ordered a second roll which arrived today. Ready for the second round!
