Very difficult to put on

My number one priority when it comes to shoes for toddlers is that they are easy to put on. Toddlers are quite picky, I hate adding difficulty by trying to put shoes on. We ordered a half size larger than my baby's current shoes because she has outgrown and the next full size was too big. Unfortunately they didn't work for us. We couldn't get them up and running. I was able to put them on once - we were out of town so I was dying to exchange them - but then I couldn't put them on again. Really upset and disappointed. The tongue is elastic and therefore the tips don't open much. Because she wore them I can't go back or I would. I was excited to see half sizes but they just don't work. Either the size is wrong or the tops are too tight. Anyway no.
