These socks are very comfortable on. They are very thick and provide great cushion for my rubber boots! I like treasure hunting and beach combing. Sometimes I sink further than I expect or get caught off guard by a wave and water breaches over my boot leaving my feet soggy. When you still have a mile to walk, wet feet are miserable and can chill you to the bone. Well not anymore! Despite my boots getting waterlogged my feet stay warm and toasty.The sock feels like it has neoprene in between two layers of fabric. This makes for a comfortable feel to your skin. The top has a tight elastic band that keeps water from being able to get inside the sock. You can literally stand in the ocean surf with dry feet. Anyone who has walked the beach has seen that treasured shell tumbling back into the ocean. Well now you can go after it and not have to cut your walk short due to cold wet feet. Just be sure you also have pants with elastic around the ankles. I also have used them for surf fishing. The only downside is they are thicker than most socks so if you have tight fitting shoes they may be snug. Thankfully I always get my boots a little larger. I love these socks and can’t wait to test them in the snow!
