A great match for the Red and Black Civic Type R, this small pad features Temperpedic-inspired U-shaped foam padding. The bottom zip allows you to wash the cover. I put gorilla tape on the zipper underneath to avoid long-term damage or a dent in the console cover. The straps keep it in place, but basically pinching the lid keeps it in place. The switch position is raised a few inches, but still accessible if the right hand is pushed into the groove, so to speak. The textured material isn't the softest and some might say is slightly abrasive, but it feels durable. It would be nice if they offered more fabric options, for example for the Type R, black Alcantara. Worth $15 as it is more convenient on long trips or daily commute. So comfortable I could hear my elbow snoring, be it that or something else nearby that used to enjoy the burrito. Swing one-touch up/down windows.
