There are 2 soundbars for bedroom installation and in the kitchen. Almost got 2 of these but figured comparing 2 of them would decide which went where. The other is the BlitzWolf Smart Soundbar (36 inch, 60 W, 2.0 channels). I will cover this later on this page. The packaging was first class and although it didn't come in a separate box it should have been used in the home run derby to damage it. Supplied with optical cable (good), cinch socket for aux connection, remote control, power supply and documentation. There are 2 AAA batteries in the remote control, these are not included. I really appreciate it because I never use these things anyway and just have to recycle them. It's worth mentioning if you don't have an AAA battery though, as you'll need a remote control. The controls are easily accessible via the remote control or from the side. The remote control has separate volume controls for bass and treble, master volume control, source selection and an EQ function with 3 options - film, music and dialogue. The range was impressive for a remote control, it even worked over the TV screen. For the audio test I simply used the aux input with audio from my computer via the Sound Blaster. For a change, I listened to Link Way's "Rumble" (50's rock 'n' roll), Journey's "I'll Be Alright Without You" for cover pop, Nice Shot Man Filter for rock music, and of course Toccata Bach and Fugue for some classics. So the initial bass this thing can produce is great. I've heard many small speakers say they have great bass. If their idea of great bass is loud, incoherent nonsense, then they make it happen. The bass this speaker produces is clear, clean and a pleasure to listen to. After listening to this, I have to wonder why more manufacturers aren't doing this. I know it uses bass reflex ports, but that's old technology. You're doing something I can't understand without understanding. As long as I can live without knowing. I've played around with the 3 equalizer settings and they seem to work well, but a dialogue setting would be great for those with hearing problems. And even if it was too much for some, separate treb and bass controls can be easily adjusted to almost every taste. After all, the volume should not satisfy anyone. I could see it working outside on the patio for a party etc. It's really good. I bet if you used this at a party people would come over to check it out. I'm pretty sure I would! Since it supports BT, everyone can also try it with favorite ringtones on their phone. If you choose one of these, I think you've picked a winner! I might even get another one for the trip.
