I flip bowls, pens, etc. when you flip dry wood or sim stone my knuckles get very hot. sim stone hits you with pieces of rubble and tar. That hurts. it's like sandblasting. When these gloves arrived I ran straight into the store. I tied her up and turned on one of my lathes. it just so happened that the blank of the shell was made of spiced walnut. it was very dry. they did well. Of course there was no heat, but the landing was spectacular. I was all over that bowl like they were a second skin. When I got home I asked my wife to take a picture and I sent it to my brother who is also a wood turner. He will love this product. I would buy it again. I have other gloves but I like the look of these. I'm glad I bought them, they are very substantial. I like hardened rubber knuckles. they seem extremely durable.
