Considering the time, this is actually a very good thing if you want to check the temperature of almost anything you need. It can be used on food, people and room temperature. This is a fairly well built device. It is very light, durable and very easy to use. It has a very simple user interface. They have three buttons on the front. They have Temperature, Mode, and Sound (in order from left to right). You can choose between Fahrenheit and Celsius. You can choose to measure room temperature or human temperature. You can turn the sound on and off. This is a very simple interface. Make sure the mode is correct before taking the temperature, otherwise you will get incorrect readings or nothing at all. You can tell which mode you are in by looking at the top of the screen. If you are using room temperature mode, the house icon is displayed. If you use it to measure body temperature, you will see a human symbol. When taking a person's temperature. When the temperature is high, the screen will turn red. and green if it's ok. If the body temperature is too low, the word "Lo" is simply displayed. When it reads room temperature, it only shows the temperature as it is. It doesn't show high or low. It takes less than 3 seconds to read a person's temperature. You just point, pull the trigger and you get a reading. This is pretty accurate as I've also compared it to other temperature readers. This temperature sensor also comes with a nice pouch for carrying or storing the heat gun. Runs on two AAA batteries which are included. You just have to remove the plastic plug. Since it doesn't take too much energy to read, I'm guessing it will take quite a while. The batteries aren't dead yet and I've had a couple of dead batteries to see if it warns you and if it indicates when the battery is low. It's very easy to replace. You simply open the bottom of the gun and the batteries just slide out. Pro:1. Easy to use2. Precise, durable design3. Has a nice carry case so you don't have to miss out. Disadvantages: 1. Off-white material tends to yellow with tallow or sunlight. Overall, this is a very good and accurate temperature sensor. If you need something to screen at this point, this is definitely for you. It is also great for cooking as well as reading in the room. I compared the temperature to my fan and it's pretty close.
