My 13 year old daughter wears this top all summer. She wanted a two-piece swimsuit but not a thong bikini. This top gives her plenty of coverage and support. With details on the straps, it doesn't feel like a "sports bra". However, it worked like a sports bra and she went straight from the pool to soccer practice. The only reason I took the star off was because the elastic at the bottom started to stretch a bit. However, this is after a good machine wash and dry, so mine is bad.
