I could have bought a little cheaper and already have several adapters but after a few years my bundled pair broke at the connection point (here's what happens when you have the headphone jack attached to the bottom of the phone) I looked around for alternatives and found them to be really decent in terms of comfort and sound quality, so I just bought another pair of OEM headphones. One of the downsides of these and almost all headphones with a microphone is that wearing them while riding a motorcycle further reduces the volume of wind noise. I ended up buying a pair of standard $5 headphones for this purpose and the problem was solved. As such it's suitable for almost everything except motorcycle use and will last a couple of years with daily use with the cord coming out the bottom.
