Charcoal BedRug Bedtred Impact Mat - A Mixed Bag of Pros and Cons

As someone who recently purchased the Charcoal BedRug Bedtred Impact Mat for my 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, I have mixed feelings about its overall performance. Let's start with the pros. First and foremost, this mat provides excellent protection to the bed of my truck. I often haul heavy equipment and have noticed a significant reduction in scratches and dings since installing the Bedtred Impact Mat. It also helps prevent cargo from sliding around during transit, which is a bonus. Additionally, the charcoal color looks great and really complements the aesthetics of my truck. And installation was a breeze, taking me less than 30 minutes to complete. However, there are a few cons that can't be overlooked. For starters, the mat is quite thin and doesn't provide much cushioning. If you're looking for something to absorb shock and reduce fatigue while standing in the bed of your truck, this may not be the best option. Furthermore, the mat doesn't lay completely flat, leaving visible wrinkles and bumps on the surface. While this doesn't impact the functionality of the mat, it does detract from the overall appearance. Lastly, the pricing seems a bit steep for what you're getting. While the protective benefits are certainly worth considering, there are more affordable options on the market that may provide comparable performance. Overall, the Charcoal BedRug Bedtred Impact Mat is a decent choice for anyone looking to protect the bed of their truck. However, its lack of cushioning, somewhat uneven surface, and high price point keep me from giving it a glowing recommendation.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • The mat cannot accommodate the Multi-Pro Tailgate and Carbon-Pro Bed, limiting its compatibility with certain models of the Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500
