For years I've hated Quick Disconnects for garden hoses. Have tried many and they are l a PITA. The old approach leaks and is hard to seat and unseat.With these . . . PROBLEM IS NOW GONE! No more issues! These are well made, solid brass not cheap aluminum, EASY to connect and disconnect, and don't leak at all (but only IF YOU INSTALL THEM CORRECTLY)! The trick is to use 4 complete wraps of teflon tape on all male threads PLUS . . . apply a generous coating of teflon based pipe joint compound (local home centers) to the male threads with the tape . . . before assembling.These Quick Disconnects insert and separate without needing much force at all since the seal is made by the O-Ring rather than forcing a machined fitting end face hard against a rubber seat. This method really minimizes any chance of leakage. When the O-Ring eventually ages and begins to drip, simply replace it with a new one and you should be good to go, leak-free!PRO TIP: Apply a good coating of silicone grease to all O-Rings and the connectors will connect and disconnect even easier and with less force.ONLY ONE REQUEST of SELLER: Please offer a batch of JUST MALE ENDS only.
