Haven't lost the case yet but it's that easy! The main problem is that it takes almost two hands to open it. The trick is to put the empty box back in your bag or somewhere else when you're not home so you don't lose it! The body is practically indestructible! Without a case, glasses are only a tenth useful! They work very well and it's almost unbelievable how small they are when folded into a suitcase. Very nice for the money!
