The photo shows it's aluminum that has been anodized but it's more of a mix of rubber and silicone, not exactly one or the other but both, it's just that so slides on top of the watch and comes off easily, when i got mine it was folded and the weird material it was made of kept its fold shape, it didn't lay right, i wore it the whole five minutes and through it into the expensive watch which makes it look very cheap with almost no protection because it is not properly formed and holds the fold it came with and tears very easily and impossible to hold.
