We use this to pump gray water from the gray tank to the black tank in our Class A RV. We have a dry closet so the black tank is extra storage for gray water when we dry camp. This article holds back the gray water on its way from the gray tank to the black tank. No leaks so far. As for its durability (judging by other reviews) it sticks pretty tight to the waste outlet in our RV and takes quite a bit of time to unscrew. However, the design of the item is somewhat lacking. The bayonet hook part needs proper "locking" grooves - they just slide open, unlike what you get with a sewer hose connector where it slides open and locks in place. Therefore, the valve could potentially slip through the protrusions on the RV's waste water outlet, especially when there is a lot of water pressure flowing in it. We always check his safety and closely monitor him on the job. We have not modified its nozzle in any way. So far, so good. At least it fails, it's just gray water for us! I docked 1 star because of the bracket.
