don't believe This is too loose.

When I first got this valve I noticed that it doesn't snap as tightly as my cap and drain hose. It got weaker. Drained at a gas station, removed the cap, the valve fell off. Reset it as tight as possible, wife watches and all. We were 5-10 feet apart and I barely adjusted the part of the hose that was on the ground and after a few seconds we watched as if in slow motion the valve release just from the pressure of the fluid in the hose. Black water.everywhere. After cleaning and inspection, the…

Works good but be careful

I got this valve to provide some protection against bottom leaks after the black tank main valve developed a small leak. This item mounts at the end of the drain pipe with a 3 inch gauge valve. While the black tank's main valve leaks a little, this valve acts as a backup to trap sewage in the drain pipe and works well to prevent leaks to the ground. One caveat that others have mentioned, once you've installed the valve on the drain pipe, it's great for connecting a hose to a disposal station…

Boondockers Backup

I read somewhere online that RV builders have suggested that RVs with storage tanks that have black and gray vent valves and no common vent valve should add that third common valve as a good alternative. Slum dwellers know that the gray tank collects more water than the black one, and if their two tanks are fairly large (i.e. about 50 gallons each), they have backup capacity in the black tank when the gray tank fills up and it's impractical to temporarily empty the tanks. This happens after the

Great solution for a broken valve.

Great fix for a broken black tank valve. But like others have said, it just happens. By simply removing the cap, you twist the valve just enough to loosen. You must be very careful when removing the cap and tube. I have a broken black valve in the open position. So if the valve came loose when resetting, I'll spend some time cleaning it. I decided to make sure he didn't come off until I told him. Look at the photos to see the solution. The plastic tabs are on the side of the trailer and I…

Used for leveling gray and black tanks to increase gray water volume.

We use this to pump gray water from the gray tank to the black tank in our Class A RV. We have a dry closet so the black tank is extra storage for gray water when we dry camp. This article holds back the gray water on its way from the gray tank to the black tank. No leaks so far. As for its durability (judging by other reviews) it sticks pretty tight to the waste outlet in our RV and takes quite a bit of time to unscrew. However, the design of the item is somewhat lacking. The bayonet hook part

Works but is easily removed

We had an issue with a small leak on our black water valve which resulted in a small amount (about a cup) of black water always leaking out of the drain hole dripped The cover is removed to connect the drain hose. This seemed like a great solution to the problem - theoretically preventing the water from draining until the drain hose was connected. The disadvantage of this drain valve is that it is not permanently connected to the drain pipe and can easily be unscrewed. When I first used this…
