Remember those photo lamps that got really hot? I still have a set of Lowel Tota-Lights tungsten bulbs that I used for photography when I didn't want to lug around a flash. I used them as work lights sometimes but they gave off too much heat. I used it as a task light for an interior renovation in my house and it's perfect. Lots of light and little heat. I can leave it on for a few hours with no problems. Oh, and that's okay for photography. I don't know how accurate the color temperature values are, but you can easily adjust from warm to cool and everything in between.
