Review on ๐Ÿ“ป XTRONS Double Din Car Radio Mounting Kit: Universal Cage Fitting for Head Units (14-003A) by Abhinav Drury

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No instructions but seems solid enough.

The device does not come with any instructions and the photos in the Amazon offer do not explain anything. There were no instructions in the packaging either. Their own website offers a user guide, but it only links to their main website and not a download. A+ EXTRONS. The trim ring is a bummer, it has a flimsy flimsy latch in the switches and no real indication of whether they should be snapped between the cage and radio or cage and dash. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that it was heavy and difficult to remove from the front when strapped on. However, if you push from behind, the spring clips may break and knock the radio out of the cage. But if you're installing a non-original radio, it's better to have a metal cage to mount it than a piece of crap from a plastic kit like METRA's plastic kits. The protrusions on the cage itself cover the normal dash snap gaps, but this can be fixed with a dremel.
