Review on πŸ”Š Powerful Mini Bluetooth 5.0 Tube Headphone Amplifier USB DAC - Enhancing Audio Quality with Stereo Audio Preamp APTX-LL by Nancy Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great desktop preamp

Update: I still love this amp. I've had it since January and it hasn't let me down yet. That doesn't mean I didn't have problems with it. YOU NEED TO BUY NEW CABLES FOR THIS THING! I had problems with unplugging the USB cable, replaced it with a good quality USB cable and fixed it. The DAC was failing and I had to turn it off, close everything that was using sound on my PC, and then turn it back on every time I turned off the desk lamp :/ Replacing the PSU completely fixed this as well. With these problems, the device itself does not bother me. As you can see I replaced the 6N3 bulb with an 86" NOS-GE5670 and it sounds fantastic. There was nothing wrong with the 6H3, only the old tubes somehow sounded better. Thanks to this little guy, my audio system on my PC really outweighs its weight and it's also probably the coolest thing on my desk. I am not paid for reviews and I am not encouraged in any way. I really like this amp and use it every day. Despite the issues I had in the beginning I'm sticking with my 5 star rating, there simply isn't another tube DAC that comes close to this price point. Just manage your expectations a little and this thing will make you happy. I'll probably buy a second one for my machine B and use the other 5670. I'm glad to have them back in stock. Don't be afraid to show Dook some love ;) Thanks for a great amp. Original: Great little amp. I have bought k240s with Akg and I get amazing sound from them. I use as a headphone preamp for my desktop. There are lots of really good 6n3 replacement NOS bulbs that come with it. I will probably switch to GE 5670 or Sylvania 2c51 soon. I will update with the results. Great buy for under $60. You could spend a lot more and still not get as good a preamp, although the tone controls would be nice. However, I think this could be the start of a romance with Chinese Hi-Fi.
