I suppose that some of the rave reviews refer to people who first tried a hair dryer as such - such a hair dryer is really a beauty of a hairstyle and convenience! Good hair dryers have not changed since then: several brushes of different diameters, several speeds and temperatures, the brushes do not get hot, I personally like bristles better - the tension and contact of the hair when pulled is more complete and uniform.
