These socks are very comfortable. However, they tend to shrink when you put them in the dryer. I now wash them in the normal laundry but do not put them in the dryer. While they are wet I stretch them out to get the largest possible size. If I wear them all day, in the evening I can feel the front seam and it's very annoying. They make my feet sweat after wearing them all day. But I like the soft heel. I was looking for this type of socks with thick heel padding. I suffered severe heel nerve damage during back surgery and I can't walk or stand without something thick and soft under my heel. They are excellent for this purpose. I plan to order a large one. I wear a size 9 or 9 1/2 shoes and ordered a medium size thinking big was too big. They run a bit small for me, but I would recommend going up if your shoe size is closer to the next.
