This strap does not fully engage the watch lugs, allowing you to stay with the watch during normal activities. Mine let go of the watch without warning after three months of use on a bike path. The clock fell on the concrete and was scratched but fortunately not damaged. I later compared the attachment pins on this strap to the pins on the original Garmin strap. The pins on this strap are not as long as the original strap and do not hold the watch as securely. Also, the silicone of this band is not clearly molded and interferes with the watch's mounting area. Overall, while it offers more fit options than the original Garmin band, you can't rely on this band to get the job done.
