Review on Ultimate Precision: 2-Pack Professional Carbon Steel Clipper Blades For Wahl Senior, Magic, And Cordless Clippers by Jose Ballard

Fits Wahl Model 79607

I wanted to make everyone aware that these did fit my Wahl clippers, model 79607. I had trouble finding that information for this particular model.I think for most Wahl models, these blades are fairly standard. They did come with replacement screws, but the screws did not fit my clippers, although the blades did. I had to use the old ones. The screws I already had were Allen head screws, the ones with these are Phillips head screws and they were too small for my clippers. Size-wise, the screw heads were okay, but they would just spin when I tried to tighten them, so I used what I already had instead. If you have this particular model, remove the old blades carefully. There is a spring inside and you need to look closely at how it is seated. There is also a plastic attachment to the smaller blade unit that you will need to pop off and then snap onto the new blade. I had to use a set of pliers to snap it in. Again, note closely how it goes on and how that smaller blade fits into the clippers.I was surprised when I took the old blades out how much hair had built up inside the clipper head. It was a little disgusting to be honest, but after a little work (and an old toothbrush I had on hand) I got it all cleaned out.Once the replacement was completed and I switched on the clippers, the blades were noticeably louder than the old ones were. I added a bit of oil and it helped quite a bit, but they are still louder than the OEM blades were. Although they are plenty sharp, they are not quite as heavy as the older blades were either.Overall I am pleased with these replacement blades. Considering that you get two, I consider them to be a fairly good value.
