I use this with my 11 year old son to limit the time he can play on his PS4 as well as the time he can read (usually schoolwork). I bought the 60 minute version and now he doesn't keep checking his watch. Previously, he could only look at his watch that he had just as much time left, now it's not so easy to just judge by the amount of sand left. I hope this will help him stop being so obsessed with the watch and just enjoy what he is doing. So far this works quite well. It works every time, it's well built and doesn't require batteries. What more can you ask for?
