The speakers replaced a pair of failed AudioVox BMS-3601. The devices were pluggable and true to size except for the mounting screw holes. The sound is great and they are 30% more powerful than the AV originals. A little light in the bass, but that's to be expected. The only problem is that the overall size of the grille is 6 inches, only the speaker itself is 5 inches. Get the actual dimensions from the PolyPlanar website and make sure they're correct, especially if it's a replacement and not a new install.

Pros

Ultra low magnetic field speaker. An ideal speaker replacement for boaters who want to upgrade to waterproof speakers without changing the size of the cutout. Built-in grilles allow for easy one-piece installation.
