Review on πŸ“Ί HDTV Antenna - August DTA240 - Indoor/Outdoor Portable Digital Aerial with Magnetic Base and a 6.5ft Coax Cable, Offering a 50-Mile Range by Tim Larsen

Decent price for a portable TV!

Small, compact and fragile cable of reasonable length, an amplifier may need to be built into the antenna line at some point, but not now. Receives almost all of my local channels. When the signal is strong the picture quality in the settings is good, much better than the old analog black and white TV I had years ago. Compact design and I had no trouble attaching the base. Simply loosen the nut, insert into the slot on the back, tighten to the desired height, and use the other knob to adjust the angle of the screen. The base should weigh a bit more but I can use some weight if needed, it's quite stable and if you want to hold it leave the base off! The sound is a bit tinny, but what do you expect from small speakers. If you want, buy an extra speaker for more bass sound, it already has a connector and cable! Comes with two antennas, but the "Super" can be eye-opening when stretched out, so I went with the compact Super antenna recommended by Revain. Easy to connect and works well depending on the position. It could be installed on the roof of a car, and the wire could be taken out the window for use while driving. I like lots of viewing options, but mostly I plan to use this TV when the power goes out to get local weather forecasts and catch the news when traveling or camping. I don't plan on using the remote control because the buttons are so small and numerous. If it's on your lap, just use the buttons on the TV itself. There is no instruction manual for the remote control and how to use it!

Pros
  • Superior without power - The TV antenna does not need to be charged, making it easier and more convenient to use.
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
