I want to love it but.

This fan really does the trick: keeping me cool when I'm sitting on the porch. The air blows well on all settings (it has low, medium and high) but I'll tell you it rattles on every setting above low and oh my god let me tell you it rumbles. The noise is coming from the rocker switch and to solve this I'm going to try putting double sided tape on it and wrapping it with something to muffle the rattling. That and the fact that it's a cheap, flimsy fan is the reason for four stars. It was a bit of a hassle to put together but you know I don't read the instructions so it's my fault (although the wife does and she puts everything together lol). The base legs are long which makes it stable and it doesn't wobble at all. Even in the Florida heat and humidity, it stays cool and blows surprisingly cool air outside as well. I recommend this product for something inexpensive so you can enjoy your porch. If the rattling irritates you, try wrapping something around the oscillating switch to deaden it and you'll be fine. There is no remote control and if there was one I didn't get one but for the price I doubt it would be a remote control.
