Beautiful lamp, surprisingly well made

I've been looking for a lamp that looks like the discontinued IKEA "Jansjo" gooseneck lamp and I think I've found a worthy competitor - one that does in some respects is even better. Specifications + Overall length is 24 inches, gooseneck flex is 17 inches. + Daylight hue is "cold” light, not "warm” light. Probably 5000 to 6000 Kelvin + Strong magnetic base + The lamp head has a push-pull zoom that projects an adjustable but well-defined circle of illumination - minimal lateral spread + two levels of brightness. I've learned that you don't have to flip the switch all the way to change the brightness. It is enough to press the switch slightly to break contact and then release it. A full click is only required to turn the device on/off. + The rigid gooseneck is maintained during bending, it is not affected by gravity. The battery cover is a bit difficult to screw back on due to the spring and thin thread, but it works. Of course, since it's battery powered, you can't leave it on indefinitely. But if you are good with tools you can wire this to a 4.5V DC battery rectifier. I have made. If you use it intermittently, the batteries are fine, but I would recommend Eneloop rechargeable batteries. Ordinary, not "professional". If you plan to use a lamp with a base resting on a (non-magnetic) table, you will need to make a small platform for the lamp to rest on. I built such a platform out of a 4 x 5 x 0.5 inch piece of wood, to one end of which I attached a small steel plate to hold the lamp. Perfect.Lamp seems solid and well built. The button feels solid. I bought two more based on my impression of the first one.
