I bought this unit for use in a shop where it often had to be mounted to the side of my gear. In this case, the magnet can't hold it in place, and the device rotates/rotates on a magnetic base, so the light is always at its lowest point, regardless of the flexing of the flexible neck. I like being able to charge them via USB but it's impractical to do it with AA batteries. Especially since I had to flip it multiple times to get it right.
