Save yourself the heartache and the wait If you have a 17" screen, do not purchase this item. It is much smaller and shorter than the dimensions in the photo. The title also states that it fits 17" and doesn't. Your 17" laptop dangles at the back where it matters most (the weight of the laptop base and battery is on the last 2" and those 2" dangle at the end of this stand. a sharp nudge or an accidental bump and your laptop will be flat on the floor. This item is great for 15" and under - and I highly recommend it if you're buying it for that. Just don't do it for the 17" , which was the only reason I made the original purchase.
