HDCP compatibility issues were incredibly annoying, shame on the industry. My TV is old enough to support 4K, but with HDCP 2.0, not HDCP 2.2, and of course this encoding scheme isn't backward compatible. The good news for me is that this converter makes the HDCP 2.2 source think it's connected to it. It outputs to HDCP 1.4, which works great with my 4K TV. My call to technical support was a very positive experience. I believe the support is somewhere in Texas. The support agent was very focused and patient. The conclusion to my problem was that the problem was user error (oops, connected to the wrong 4K port that doesn't support 60fps refresh. After that was fixed, the box worked great and did exactly what I needed ). .I will definitely buy an extra box if I replace the TV in the living room (our receiver is also HDCP 2.0).
