We bought some Fanimation fans back then. Although they came with wireless remotes I was happy to find these as they allow me to reduce the clutter with the remote and control the fan and lights with my Google Assistant! Setup was easy! Reading the instructions helps, as you need to turn the fan on full power and turn on the lights before removing the old fan control module and installing the new one. :) There is a slight delay between the moment a voice command is given and the fan responding to the command. Other Google Assistant controlled devices (Chromecast, Philips Hue) are more responsive than FanSync, but that's not a big deal - just something to be aware of.
