We live in a time where everything is incredibly reliable. This is one of those devices when it comes to customization. I put the batteries in, pointed it at the TV and off we went. You need to point the remote directly at him for him to register. I'm not deducting a star for this as it's not a deal breaker for me. It took me a few times to figure out that not registering my command was a problem as the original remote didn't have such requirements. But since I've worn out the knobs, it's time for a new one. I chose this one after reading many reviews and choosing the value for money. Would buy again. If size matters, I've included a photo of the tape measure. The remote control is easy to hold and all buttons are easy to reach with your thumb. I usually keep it slightly lower than the middle since those are the keys I access the most.
