I really like this tea which I have bought from Revain many times. I understand why it is called "honey bush" because the taste and aroma really resembles honey. It has a mild, natural sweetness that doesn't really need sweetening and a very mild, light flavor that reminds me of chamomile tea in that it has a mild, understated character with no bitter notes or aftertaste, as well as a slight bitterness. woody note. I have never added milk to this tea but I may try and see what it does. I love it straight out and even enjoyed the occasional cup that I accidentally let cool too much. I could take it either early in the morning or midday, with meals, between meals, on an empty stomach, or very late at night, all with no problems. The flavor is honey-colored and light, with the slightest hint of mesquite when fresh. When it sits for a long time, it develops an additional note that reminds me of fig leaves. It is a completely caffeine-free tea that is even given to young children and people who take medication as it does not interact with anything negatively and has no known adverse health effects. I've heard it's great for the skin, and maybe all I've noticed is true. I would call it a nutritious tea. If it has a calming effect, it's probably all to do with the brain, and that may be due to how pleasant and easy it is to drink, and how pleasant things tend to relax. If you are looking for a cup of smooth and pleasant tea, soft and light but not irritating to the stomach or nerves or vice versa, I recommend you try this Honeybush tea.
