Numi Organic Tea Rooibos Chai: 18 Count Box of Caffeine-Free Tea Bags - Herbal Teasan (Packaging May Vary) Review

Very weak tea. I can't even taste the honeybush. I grew up in South Africa on Honeybush, Rooibos and it's the worst I've ever had.

They have redesigned the packaging for all NUMI teas, as well as the labeling and quality of the Moroccan mint tea. Two months ago. They no longer refer to it as "Premium Tea". The taste has changed for the worse with the new mix. Pooh. tastes like wooden sticks and a week. We did a taste test in my family. All agree. Not the same. I stopped buying.

I bought this tea from Target and I really liked it. The taste was top notch. We completed the box within 5 days. So I decided to buy it in bulk from Revain. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The taste is so bland, almost bland. It takes us forever to finish a crate. It may have been stored too long. Will not buy this Revain tea again.

This is one of my absolute favorite teas. I can't drink much caffeine anymore. Black tea used to be my favorite, and when I had to eliminate it from my diet entirely for over a year, I discovered for the first time that rooibos tea has the warm, earthy flavor of all herbal teas when compared to black tea. Then there is the question of spices for tea. Numi's blend is by far the best of any herbal tea blend I've tried. Now this tea is indispensable for me. Love it!

What did Numi do with her tea? The packaging has changed, as has the taste. It has evolved from a smooth, great taste to a similar hot water but with a bitter aftertaste. The bag hardly pollutes the water. So I wrote to the company and they didn't reply. May it be so. I canceled my one box a week subscription and saved up. I really liked it, but excuse the expression, it went from great to bad. Make Honeybush great again!

That was always my favorite tea. So when I saw that I could buy 100 packs instead of my usual 18 I was happy. However, they do not come in a sealed package. They are all just thrown in a box with no product information. There is an expiration date on the shipping label, but that seems questionable to me. I used to buy 100 packs of tea and it always came in a light colored, sealed package with information and a "best before date" that looked trustworthy. Wouldn't recommend this at all.

I have been drinking Numi Tea for many years. They usually manage to find the right balance between flavor and strength. I mentioned strength because in the world of commercial tea bags, most teas are either flavorless or so muted in flavor that choosing between brands and varieties is a waste of time. I really like this tea which I have bought from Revain many times. I understand why it is called "honey bush" because the taste and aroma really resembles honey.
