Review on 2-Piece Set: Master Lock 2848DAT Key Alike Receiver and Coupler Latch Locks by Marcus West

This is the second set I went through. The cylinder lock on the trailer lock does not remain engaged. Not sure why. I check it every time I attach a trailer to a truck but it disconnects and there is no warning. This time I got lucky as I passed a car/boat wash on the way home. As you can see, the rod was about to fall out completely; leaves me defenseless. I have to wonder if he's been sitting on the boat ramp like that all day. Master Lock is aware of this issue as they willingly replaced the entire kit the first time around. They used to be "The Name" in castles but this one definitely failed. I now have a second pin in my boat drawer as a backup. It's time to try and find something that really works. Aluminum floats on trailers are very expensive (not to mention the boat - which may or may not be on it).
