Review on Beelink SEI8 Mini PC - Intel i5-8279U, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, 4K Dual HDMI, Windows 10 Pro by Joshua Carter
Great as a mini server.
The device is excellent as a Plex server. I was able to upgrade to 64GB of RAM with no issues. I also added a 2.5" 1TB SSD. Running a headless server version of Ubuntu 20.04. It handles everything I throw at it, using only a fraction of the power of the server it replaces. The Intel GPU offers fast sync to offload transcoding from the CPU. All in all, it's worth the risk.
