Works like a normal 8th gen box!

Very glad I bought this! They sandwiched the box of Gen 8! Saved hundreds of $$$ over my regular custom build plus my time! Fast loading! Has Win 10 Pro, so runs Remote Desktop! Awakened from a magical package! All you need is a workstation that controls the 4K monitor and is controlled remotely via Remote Desktop. Note. The BIOS isn't as user-friendly as ASUS/ASROK, but it's enough. Remember: only a 4K monitor will work at 30Hz, which is fine with me.

Defective Amazon slow junk

This i5 8279U with 16GB RAM must be defective. Opening programs and even just right-clicking on a file to create a new file causes a huge delay. Slower than my 7 year old dual core laptop. I'm pretty sure this one is faulty because I read the reviews and everyone said it was "nimble and quick". For me, it loads quickly, but multitasking struggles. Returned.

Wow! Much better than expected. If you don't like huge computer ovens, go this route.

Wow! Much better than expected. Better than spending twice and getting a huge box that takes up space and replaces my oven. I bought a budget model for a family member a while back and they were amazed at how it handles most games - you can run the latest versions that require a desktop box with a 3060/70/80 GPU, don't kick ass. So far it has performed well in almost everything I use it for, namely surfing the web, browsing media, and occasionally playing Warcraft and some Steam games that run…

It works as expected.

The product works sensationally for what it is. Very small and light full-featured computer. I think in the past it included the connection cables and instructions to upgrade the internal SATA drive. That wasn't the case with mine. Bloatware is minimal and welcome. Works almost immediately out of the box.

Loads Windows in 7 seconds

This will be my last computer so I wanted it to be fast; easy; and easily upgrade RAM and storage. Loads in 7 seconds, works 80% the way I want it to. The cursor disappears several times a day. WILL NOT allow me to install my Canon printer. The SSD cable broke but the factory sent me a new gold star for it! Works great with my wifi cable.

Great as a mini server.

The device is excellent as a Plex server. I was able to upgrade to 64GB of RAM with no issues. I also added a 2.5" 1TB SSD. Running a headless server version of Ubuntu 20.04. It handles everything I throw at it, using only a fraction of the power of the server it replaces. The Intel GPU offers fast sync to offload transcoding from the CPU. All in all, it's worth the risk.

Amazing device - computers and accessories

Very compact and works very well. Got rid of the huge old fashioned tower. Much quieter, doesn't get as hot and is a super versatile machine. I play online games with no problems. Also ideal for business use.
