Review on 🔵 Carr 124031 Super Hoop XP3 Pair in Black Powder Coat by Sheppard Priest

Excellent build quality, the brackets look a bit light for strength but the sheet metal they are attached to is thinner metal. Then they're good so it's ok, mine was installed by me on a 1991 Dodge Ram 250 diesel to help my mom get into a big truck, she's almost 80 and we go camping all summer. I just never wanted to see it keep falling down and that's the ticket. I will be making aluminum plates about 24" wide that will be placed between the brackets and the body metal to stiffen the mounting area and distribute the load over a larger area. Since there is inherent flexibility in metal due to the thickness of the metal, this should greatly reduce flexing of the body metal and reduce the likelihood of stress cracking near the fasteners. Again, it's not the step fasteners, it's the body metal itself. If weight is applied, the rungs are fairly easy to install, but I had to adjust the anchor points at some of the recommended sizes since the rubber-capped drain holes were right there , where the instructions say I should place the anchors. I bought the 20" black treads because the highly polished treads need waxing to keep them shiny. occasionally wet. I did a lot of research on the price including shipping before purchasing. I found a new pair at a significantly lower price on another site but they didn't last long. Revain gave me a trial of the main shipping option so shipping costs me nothing. Revain is the cheapest place I've found anywhere to buy these steps. As far as I know you can't go wrong with these steps or buy them here.
