I'm a bit amazed at how much they stuffed into this little guy. I have poor eyesight so if I take off my glasses at night I have to use my phone to see the time. Regular bedside clock is too small or takes up too much space on my bedside table if big enough for reading. This is the perfect compromise. Its form factor is comparatively small, but it projects the time just far enough onto the ceiling directly above my bed that the numbers are big enough for me to read them well. Also, I can read the weather forecast at a glance as the pattern behind the information gently flashes in different colors (it's raining when it's raining, clouds are moving when it's cloudy, etc.). Not enough to distract me or keep me up at night. but definitely enough for my blind eyes to see the look. I like that the temperature reader is built into the time flash. Just a few seconds for each temperature (indoor/outdoor) is perfect for me to get an idea of what my day will be like. The only thing I would change slightly is the angle of the display. The laser display on the ceiling is exactly on the same axis as the clock. Yes, you can flip the display 180 degrees, but it would be really nice if you could only flip it 90 degrees. I want my clock to point to my bed, but I want the laser clock on the ceiling to point to the foot of the bed. When he's sitting I have to somehow turn him 45 degrees to the bed so they're both slightly inclined. Actually a small complaint. In general, the purchase is satisfied.
