I'll start by saying I've been flying a drone and doing property inspections for a long time. I bought 16 DJI Mavics, 2 Phantoms and a couple of Parrots. This purchase was to try out the Autel Evo. It arrived mid last week and our first experience was not a success. Below is my drone test. AS: Loved the controller; The built in video screen and all easily accessible data is amazing. One downside is how difficult it is to retrofit the tablet mount. It seems like this: I liked the umbrella itself, it was okay. Performance wasn't what I expected, but that may be because I've only flown it a few times and haven't learned all the intricacies of its operation yet. Once you get the hang of tuning your antennas, the range will be reasonably good, at least on par with the Mavic, which I think is top-notch. The controls are less intuitive than DJI products, but they can also give you more options to choose from, so some of that may be due to the complexity. The camera looks great on paper. It was indeed pure jelly and bad focus. The failure of one component made this drone terrible as the camera is the number one determining component we buy a bird for. actually believe that this is an Autel defect and probably a misdevelopment. I contacted AUTEL for an exchange. As soon as we get a new one I will update this review.
