Just installed LED lights so can't comment on their durability. I am very happy. The light is so clear and clean, bright daylight. Installation was quick and easy with the tool provided. I used masking tape and wrapped it around the existing bulbs and with a jerk they popped out. I found it easier for the footwell lamp to just remove the socket from the bracket. This is the same 1/2 turn and pull as the license plate light. If you're on the fence and think about it. Come on, pull the trigger. You'll be glad you did.
