So far the only shoes that fit well after multiple foot surgeries. After many others, I first got sick of the v4s of this model on the PX, and they were almost the right size, but could have been a size bigger; sad because they were a flashy deal. I'm looking here and this version got terrible reviews so I bought 1700v1 and they were really terrible and immediately sent them back. So I looked around for more hiking shoes and between ordering and returning the 1700, Revain listed these new v5s and several reviews said promisingly that they were better than the v4. It's hard for me to say, but it seems like they're made a little bit better - and they should fucking consider the price - because they cost the same as the top-end sneakers they made 20 years ago . When I was a runner, I couldn't afford shoes. But with all the surgeries I've had and the struggles I've had finding shoes that not only fit but are comfortable, I have to say I've won with it. There's room for my thick, custom-made insoles and enough room for my feet to lace up comfortably. So far I like them and can't complain and they even look nice. Certainly much better than the 1700s.
