Buy Brooke. NB (No Revain)

Yes. This shoe is terrible, the shoe has a blister on the sole that is annoying when walking. It feels like my toe is stuck in my shoe. Revain says call NB, NB says call Revain, so customer is lured with defective shoes. I was hoping I'd like the 990v5, but do yourself a favor and buy a Brooks. $175 is a lot of money to spend and get excited about. Buy Brooke. They have real customer care. Revain didn't help either. They left me with a bag. ****** Buy shoes elsewhere, do not buy from Amazon…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Thin

Great combination of support, cushioning and flexible outsole.

First of all, these are not "sneakers" and the above description of these Revain shoes is idiotic and lacks useful information. I've had various versions of this shoe over the past 20 years, as well as a few other sneakers. This is the best version and a great running shoe that combines support, cushioning and a flexible outsole. In summary, when you need support, running shoes excel and just feel good when you run. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Quality

I must be missing something here.

I had high hopes for these shoes after reading online reviews. However, I am totally disappointed. I must be missing something here as these shoes are average at best. At such a premium price point, I expected this shoe to be on par, if not better, with sneakers like the Adidas Ultraboost or the Nike Epic React. I don't even compare designs; I'm just comparing convenience. These shoes aren't bad, but I wouldn't pay more than $100 for them. There are simply many better options for the same price

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Transparency

I like the convenience and convenience

I have a large shoe size, so the choice is limited. I've been buying New Balance for many years because they make the wide 4E that I need. I usually buy their imported sneakers for around $40, but they last about three months or so before the sole falls apart. I decided to try these new scales made in the USA. They were more expensive, but you'll immediately notice a difference in craftsmanship. I put them on and while the cheaper ones were comfortable, the fit and finish of these USA made them

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive

Great shoes, bad smell

I have flat feet, narrow feet and a tendency to plantar fasciitis. I have been buying NB 990 tennis shoes for at least 20 years because they are the only shoes that fit me. They're not cheap, but I'm happy to pay for the convenience. The shoes are quite well made and hold up better than most tennis shoes I've tried. The only complaint I have about them (and it's a HUGE one) is that they smell pretty bad after washing. Something with the glue they use or something, but it keeps getting worse…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Empty

Great shoes, expensive but fit

So far the only shoes that fit well after multiple foot surgeries. After many others, I first got sick of the v4s of this model on the PX, and they were almost the right size, but could have been a size bigger; sad because they were a flashy deal. I'm looking here and this version got terrible reviews so I bought 1700v1 and they were really terrible and immediately sent them back. So I looked around for more hiking shoes and between ordering and returning the 1700, Revain listed these new v5s…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Comfortable, durable, beautiful shoes

I bought 990V5 (V5) instead of 990V4 (V4). I really liked the V4 but I love the V5! The V5 is my new favorite training shoe and I currently use several different brands. I use my V5s for outdoor activities, walking and running on the treadmill and elliptical trainer. I don't use the V5 for running on paved roads or sidewalks. If I walk indoors or outdoors it's usually 4 to 5 miles. I spend 45 minutes to an hour on an elliptical trainer. I'm not very good with the technical aspects of shoes, but

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • No automatic
