Excellent hairpins. I wore one all day. I didn't have to fiddle with my hair and pull it back. I received exactly what is shown in the photo. Two blacks. A leopard brown and a lighter leopard brown. To the touch: They have a matte surface. They aren't shiny. They look dull in the hands. Not the smooth finish that Glossy offers. Quality: easy to open and close. Matt plastic. It feels like hard plastic. Drop Test: I dropped one of these onto the ceramic bathroom floor from waist height. He didn't break. It passed my drop test. does it hold my hair Yes. Now my hair is a little longer. Just past my shoulders. My hair is neither thin nor thick. It's right in the middle. I can easily pull my hair up with this clip. I can do a messy ponytail. There is still room in the clip for more hair. What I like about them: I like the design. I have a feeling most of the clips are the same design. I like the boxy look. I love the color palette. Nothing flashy or fancy. I can wear them every day with any outfit. I like that they seem durable. This is a great price at $3 each. They cost me more if I buy from a local store. The quality is the same.
