Could be better with design improvements

Bought this for my 4 year old and the strap design is not good. The straps loosened over time and the excess part of the waist belt is long and sags. When the thumb is out of grip, everything moves and his hand comes out. I tried attaching the straps to hold it in place better but that didn't work. Decided to return.
