They appear to be a solid shoe but only time will tell how long they last (hence the 4 stars). I've been using Dexter Pro-am II for a few seasons. Made the switch to these (the downside of Pro-am is they usually only last 2 seasons for me) As for a modest price increase over the Dexter, they will Supplied with a replaceable slip sole. The shoes appear to be true to size and are comfortable. The traction outsole feels solid and the #6 outsole seemed to fit. Haven't tried #4 yet (lower number = less slippage). I went ahead and ordered the other 3 available soles (#2, #8 and #10) and will test them all next time I go bowling. While I never thought I'd need the versatility of a sole replacement, I think for those really wet or rainy times where the approach can be tricky, I can now try something with less friction. Unlike more expensive high heels, heeled shoes are not interchangeable.
