I've used this 3 times to cut 2 inch cast iron drain lines on a renovation. I used a red 5.0 lithium battery; brand new for the last time. This pup stopped 3-4 times during the cutting process. I usually cut out an H shape, tap it out, and then cut the rest of the tube into the tube space with the grinder body to get a nice even cut for my mission clamp (so I don't have to dig under the horizontal tube to make a grinder to get underneath.) For this cut, the grinder used 3 of 4 light sticks. There will be problems. This is the main purpose of my purchase. If I could I would return it.
