I almost ruined my legs with the arch brace. They weakened and developed plantar fasciitis. After several months of arch free recovery, I started looking for better shoes. I had friends with Altras so I wanted to try them. This is my first pair and I am very satisfied. The socks are just right for my wide feet. I like zero drop. There is enough padding for normal everyday use. The lack of arch support makes my legs more comfortable and stronger. I hope the durability is as good as they say. As long as I like these shoes
